A very frustrating day, one for the traders! The Bet of the Day was given another chance as previously selected on its last run and today i was hoping the drop back in trip would suit. Despite trading as low as 6/4 in running and looking a genuine threat to the eventual winner the ground look to take its tole again before the final fence! One for the summer on better ground and hopefully should be well handicapped on its last two runs! The Each Way selection was desperately unlucky and siding with the value proved to be a downfall today. The formline of the winner Preuty Boy and Ballybach on a previous run looked particularity strong but the difference in price swayed me in Ballybachs favour as i expected him to be a lot shorter. The selection came for late support and despite not jumping fluently was the only one of the three involved in the finish not to have come under serious pressure approaching the last trading odds on in running. Ballybach looked to be in control when miss timing the last and ending his race missing out on what looked to be a winner but also a guaranteed place! The day finished slightly better with Shoreacres also blundering but in different circumstances when falling four from home! Bring on tomorrow! The Basher
