A better day! Laureldean River was very well backed and i fancied the selection to turn over the short priced favourite! The main threat tho came from the staying on Kellystown Lad but the selection dug deep under a good ride and was never headed to score by 11/4 lengths! The lay of the temperamental favourite Maximix at a very short price looked a good bet and the selection was beat back in second when a tired jump at the last so him unseat the rider and miss out on the place money! Colonial Jim had the chance to make it a perfect 3 and was backed as tho he was expected to more than halving in price from an opening 13/2! With the favourite falling at the very first fence the race was there for the taking but despite the selection trading as low as 1.68 in running he quickly dropped back through the field when the pace lifted before being pulled up! A dissapointing day especially as the markets moved in favour of all three selections! Rougham was very well backed and despite trading odds on in running was headed at the final fence by the favourite who stayed on strongly! Record Breaker had question marks about the ground and never dealt a blow. The selection was held up in rear and found nothing pressure finishing well down the field! Keltic Cliche was very well supported into joint second favourite but after a couple of sketchy jumps was under pressure and quickly pulled up! The Basher

A frustrating day! Blue Gun was badly hampered and brought down at the very first fence! Dvinsky was supported but didn't get the lead having to sit in behind the front 2, when the pace quickened Dvinsky was unable to and missed out on the places! The lay of the favourite Storm Surge was comfortable as the selection was pushed along 5 out and hard ridden from the second last coming home 12 lengths back in third and out of the places! Only the lay selection succesful today! Deep Reflection was supported each way but was under pressure mid race and failed to challenge! Bruach Na Mara travelled strongly and stayed on for pressure but the winner looked to have something in hand and in a blanket finish missed out on the places! Manoubi was freindless in the market and was held on previous form with today's rivals but put in an improved effort, staying on strongly to finish 3 lengths back in second but the lay landed! A dissapointing day with the markets speaking in favour of all the selections! Akarshan was sent off favourite but when the pace quickened he failed to go with the leaders and came home a distant fourth! The Each Way selection was one of the best backed horses of the day and made smooth progress through the field beforing hitting the 3rd last and losing momentum, having to settle for third despite looking like making a big challenge! The day finished very poorly with Rothres jumping the better of his rivals in a poor field and won comfortably! The Basher

A little unlucky today with the markets speaking favorably but a case of not close enough! Diane Choice ran first and after breaking slowly was always playing catch up. Despite staying on late he could only get within 2 lengths of the winner and missed out on the place money to in a close finish! Piper Royal looked far to short this morning and drifted right up until the off. After racing up with the pace he was under pressure early before being pulled up two from home! The day ended frustratingly with Stormin Exit who despite not putting in the best display of jumping was still there at the final fence. A better day today! Cool Mission got the day off to a good start and i was surprised when the selection wasn't sent of favourite! After making smooth headway Jason Maguire sent the selection into the lead 2 out and pulled away to win by an impressive 18 lengths! The lay selection was a little unfortunate today as there were 5 non runners before the race including two fancied selections and when Power Elite fell 3 from home the selection was left an easy victory at short odds! Jeronimo Joe was supported late and ran a great race! After staying on from 3 out only a bad blunder at the last cost him the race, getting within a neck of the winner on the line! The Basher

Finians Rainbow traveled well and made ground through the field to mount a challenge 2 out but failed to pick up and looked one paced! The lay of long run looked the main bet of the day at the early price and several poor jumps cost him this time in a competitive field! A mixed day! The Bet of the Day was a big fancy and was well supported throughout the morning! Unfortunately within the first couple of jumps it was clear something was amiss and Captain Cee Bee returned with a burst blood vessel! With Sizing Europe putting in a good round of jumping and claiming a well deserved victory it was even more frustrating that the selection was unable to go head to head with him again! The day got better from here on with the lay of Flores Sea who was one of the first off the bridle and although making late headway could only get a never nearer 3rd! Zaynar looked the value at 11/1 this morning in the champion hurdle and was backed accordingly putting in an excellent run, staying on strongly up the hill and claiming a well earned place! Another frustrating day! The lay selection got the day off to a good start as Inthejungle was under pressure early before falling 3 from home! The lay selection looked to be traveling well before the 2nd last. Sat in just behind the front runners Karashar traded as low as 6/4 in running but found nothing under pressure and lacked the turn of pace of his rivals missing out on the places! After the Bet of the day yesterday was beat after going 1/100 in running, Star Galaxy suffered a similar fate trading as low as 1.04 before being headed in the final strides! Despite Star Galaxy drifting before the off he ran a huge race off a career high mark and was unlucky not to land the hat trick at a very generous 7/1! Bring on Tomorrow! The Basher

A mixed day with all 3 selections finishing second! The lay selection drifted dramatically before the off out to a very big 5/1 yet ran well in defeat despite her time off and tackling the all weather surface for the first time. Bint Doyen was only beaten by a horse i've followed previously in Exceedthewildman who came home late on the outside to win by a 1/2 length! The eachway selection looked a big price this morning and was sent to the front again traveling well in the main and when jumping the last in front traded as low as 1.42 before being headed in the final few strides! A disappointing day! Itsteescomponents didn't put in his best round of jumping but turning 4 from home looked in control trading at 1.3 in running but when push came to shove he lacked the fight of the staying on Blazing Diva and could only finish within 3 lengths! Reblis traveled well but jumped big and slow over several fences and didnt have the finish of his rivals! The each way selection was the most disapointing as the form line with todays winner trans sonic looked the strongest in the race and i was hoping the selection would be thereabouts on better terms today! A very good day with 2 out of 3 winning selections and a very healthy profit made! The Bet of the Day was first to run and was let down by several poor jumps during the race. Despite this the selection stayed on well and had every chance up the run in but could only close within a length of the winner! Oniztiptoes ran next and under a patient ride made smart headway 3 out always traveling well. The selection jumped the last full of running and stayed on smartly to score by 4 lengths! The lay selection drifted all day from what looked a short early price. Although Prince Tam jumps and travels he lacks a change of gear and again found little for pressure finishing out of the places! The Basher

Despite the markets speaking in favour of all today's selections it was a disappointing day! The lay selection was the perfect start as Moghaayer was under pressure early and quickly outpaced, failing to challenge for the places! The Bet of the Day was supported all morning and was sent off the 2/1 favourite. After breaking slowly and hanging right the selection never seemed on terms and although making late headway never looked like threatening! A poor day! The excellent run of successful lays came to an end today as Monte Major won by a head despite not having the run of the race! The each way selection i backed at 10/1 this morning and turned out to be one of the best backed horses of the day being sent off the 7/2 favourite! Despite the money the selection was under pressure a long way out but the persistence of Dougie Costello where others might not, was the main reason the place money was landed and a profit made! The day ended disappointingly as Smalljohn who was stepping up in class, drifted alarmingly late on and despite racing prominent lacked the turn of foot of a couple of his rivals! The Basher

2 out of 3 winning selections today with the market speaking in favour of all the runners! Circus of Dreams was widely available at 3/1 all morning before substantial late money sent him off the very well backed 7/4 favourite! After racing up with the pace and jumping fluently throughout the selection took up the lead 3 from home and pulled away impressively to win by 16 lengths eased down! The lay bet again landed the money with Ant Music who never really got into the race! After being held up out the back he was under pressure 2 furlongs out and finished a never nearer 3rd, not Liam Keniry's finest ride to be honest! The final selection of the day was very well backed again almost halving in price but after racing prominently and leading 3 from home found little for pressure and failed to challenge for the places! A steady day after a poor start! I was hoping Plenty of Chat would be fully tuned up for today but after being held up out the back was never put into the race and quickly weakened before pulled up 2 out! The day got back on track with the lay of the friendless Recif De Thaix who drifted several points throughout the day! Known not to be the best of jumpers he was in with a small shout before fluffing the final fence and missing out on the places! Tropical Blue was the final selection of the day and came for some late support. Off a low weight he was making smooth headway around the outside before running up the back of the eventual winner and having to check his run a furlong out! With a clear passage the selection may have given the winner more of a challenge instead we had to settle for second and another place winner! The Basher
