2 out of 3 winning selections today and a small profit made! The lay bet started the day well as the front running Grace N' Favour weakened approaching the last when the pace was lifted and could only finish 3rd of the front 3 who had pulled well clear! The Bet of the day kept the run going despite racing keen and putting in a poor round of jumping! Under the usual strong McCoy drive the selection ran all the way to the line to hit the front up the run in and win by a neck! The day ended a little disappointingly as the each way selection missed out on the places despite late support! The selection was very slowly away but made up good ground mid race and was staying on well in a blanket finish just a length of the winner and missing out on 3rd by a neck! The Basher

The selection hung left through the final furlong and was only able to get within a length of the winner! The each way selection was supported late and after being held up early was switched right to mount a challenge over a furlong out! Unfortunately Botham could only run on into second and land the place money! The day ended perfectly with the Bet of the Day winning for the third day in a row! An excellent start to the week and a healthy profit made! Only the lay selection getting up to win by a neck denied a perfect 3 out of 3! Fleetwoodsands ran first and despite looking under pressure off the bend stayed on well to assert through the final furlong and hung on to win by a length! The lay of the odds on Premier Clarets couldn't have been much closer as the selection managed to get up in the final few strides and scupper the lay bet! 2 out of 3 today and a decent profit made! With question marks against the stamina of the front two in the gold cup i was hoping Kasbah's experience would see him put up a real challenge. Despite some headway mid race the selection never really got into the race and was under strong pressure a long way out , plugging home in a disappointing 6th! Dr Wintringham however, got the day back on track with an impressive 6 length victory! The selection was held up but made smooth headway to lead a furlong out and was quickly pushed clear to win cosily! The lay selection was a big drifter and fortunately again lacked a turn of foot to win the race when every chance finishing back in second! The Basher

A shocking day despite strong market support! Antara was first to run and never looked fluent, the selection raced to keen and was quickly under pressure and despite staying on in the final furlong was only ever going to finish 3rd at best! The lay of Artsu was made the more difficult with the withdrawl of a strong market rival and the race quickly became a 2 horse race with the selection getting up to win by a neck! Mull of Killough was put up again after selecting it at Epsom last time when he was very unlucky in running! Unfortunately today despite being very well backed the selection raced central despite the pace being on the far side and that was the end of his race! The Basher

A frustrating day with both the back selections suffering a similar fate in running! The lay of Rip Van Winkle started the day well who was friendless in the market. The selection lead 2 furlongs out but quickly weakened back through the field and failed to challenge for the places! Makfi i was hoping would find further improvement and really shine but failed to pick up when ask for an effort! Despite being forced wide and being left short of room the selection never looked like finding the turn of pace which so him win the 2000 guineas! Path of Peace was supported each way before the off and was coming with an eye catching run up the inside rail over 2 furlongs out! The selection was very well supported into clear second favourite but after being held up early found trouble in running. Again a real mixed day! The lay of Diman Waters started the day well as i wasn't sure the selection would appreciate the extra furlong and this proved to be, dropping tamely through the field and only beating one home! The Bet of the Day despite being 5 lengths clear in second had no chance with the winner who was heavily backed all morning and won by an easy 6 lengths from the selection! Another mixed day despite the markets speaking in favour of all the selections! Orchard Supreme ran first and came within a neck of a perfect start to the day! The selection was pulled wide over 2 furlongs out and made good headway from the rear to challenge the leader in what ended up being a two horse finish going down by a neck to the favourite! The Bet of the Day was very disappointing despite being supported! The selection looked to be taken of his feet 2 furlongs out and was quickly outpaced weakening through the field! The day ended well with the lay of the friendless Peopleton Brook who drifted markedly before the off. The selection looked a little one paced but running on the ground in the centre of the track may not have helped! The Basher

A chance was taken on the fitness of Ambrose Princess after a long time away from the track but found one to good in the well backed On Terms who won easily leaving the selection a well clear second!
