A disappointing day with only the all weather tracks surviving the weather and some less than convincing rides! The day started well enough with the lay of the joint favourite Wavertree Warrior who ran well in defeat being headed on the line but added to his 39 race losing streak! The Bet of the Day ran next and i was hoping the step up in trip would be ideal after making late headway over a shorter trip on his previous run. The selection came of the bend looking full or running despite not having the smoothest of passages and when the gap up the rail opened the race was there for the taking! To say Andrew Elliotts effort was poor would be an understatement, a 3/4 length second and never nearer! The Each Way selection again was doing his best work late on but would have struggled to make things anymore difficult, twice having to be switched for a run after running up the back of horses before staying on well to finish 4th! One to keep an eye on! The Basher
