The lay of the friendless Dolly Parton started the day well as the selection led early but was headed in the final furlong and finished 2 lengths back in second! The Bet of the Day was well supported but was hugely disappointing! Held up out the back Law of the Range was asked for an effort but found little and was eased down! Unfortunatelly the selection found nothing for pressure and came home a very one paced in third! The lay selection looked to have it to do against the fancied favourite and the race turned out that way with Blue Angel 2 lengths back in second! A mixed day! Solstice was the each way selection and was one of the best backed horses of the day being sent off the 9/2 second favourite! After taking up the pace after a furlong the selection was only headed in the final few strides trading as low as 1.34 in running and denied a good priced winner! The lay selection unfortunately ran a huge race on his turf debut breaking smartly and was never headed despite several well fancied runners in the race ending the good run off succesfull lays! At the price Jacarado was the Bet of the Day with strong course form and although usually under pressure early the horse stays all day! Unfortunatelly the selection was never close enough to the pace and although staying on as usual was a distant fourth! The Basher

A better day! The lay of Shoegazer started the day well although the selection ran well in defeat staying on to pressure the eventual winner but could only finish 4 lengths back in second! Quadrillon was well supported but after travelling up with the pace found little for pressure and failed to challenge! The selection was even more frustrating as captain cee bee who was the selection at Cheltenham would have been todays bet of the day had he been the bigger early price of the two! The day ended well with Dancing Hero running into a place despite racing keenly throughout! The selection stayed on for pressure but second always looked the best we could hope as the winner won with plenty in hand! The Basher

A dissapointing day despite the markets speaking in favour of all today's selections! The lay of Benny Be Good started the day well as the selection tracked the leaders but couldn't quicken from 2 out and was left to come home a clear 3rd! Gardening Leave was again supported and after leading halfway looked a difficult ride with an awkward head carriage! Despite the selection staying on he missed out on the places in a close finish! The day ended poorly with the well supported Hindu Kush who looked very well in again! Despite this the selection was held up and produced late and when making progress looked awkward again when hanging badly and could only finish 3rd! Bring on tomorrow! The Basher

An excellent day with a perfect 3 out of 3! Captain Chris started the day well despite not looking the easiest of rides! The selection was headed 2 out but rallied under pressure to lead at the last before pulling away up the finish to win 33/4 lengths! Joint favourite Antoniola was today's lay selection and looked one paced when asked for an effort 3 furlongs from home failing to challenge for the place money! For the 3rd day in a row the each way selection was a winning one and ended the day well! Tanzanite Bay was supported late and made steady progress through the field before challenging down the straight! The race quickly became a 2 horse race and the selection held on gamely to take a deserved victory! The Basher

Burton Port started the day perfectly as the selection again put in a superb round of jumping and quickened away well from the second last to win by an impressive 3 lengths! Pak Jack was selected hoping for a return to form around the familiar Aintree fences but despite the selection jumping well in the main he was never up with the pace and never looked like challenging for the place money! Unfortunately the selection picked up well and was driven out to win a shade cosily! Prince Erik looked to have everything in favour today but a muddling pace turned the race into a sprint and although the selection stayed on he was always held in second! A chance was taken on Swingkeel that he would run well fresh but after being held up out the back he never really threatened! Bring on Aintree! The Basher

An Ok day! The lay of the favourite Classic Dream in just a field of 3 was an easy winner when the selection made a bad mistake at the 8th before being quickly pulled up! The each way selection was nibbled at before the off and ran a big race trading as low as 1.25 in running! Had Mickys Knock Off not hung so badly from the furlong pole he might have turned over the odds on favourite! The day finsihed a little dissapointingly as Dvinsky hit the front 2 furlongs out but looked one paced in the finish and could only finished 3rd! The Basher
