A mixed day! Solstice was the each way selection and was one of the best backed horses of the day being sent off the 9/2 second favourite! After taking up the pace after a furlong the selection was only headed in the final few strides trading as low as 1.34 in running and denied a good priced winner! The lay selection unfortunately ran a huge race on his turf debut breaking smartly and was never headed despite several well fancied runners in the race ending the good run off succesfull lays! At the price Jacarado was the Bet of the Day with strong course form and although usually under pressure early the horse stays all day! Unfortunatelly the selection was never close enough to the pace and although staying on as usual was a distant fourth! The Basher
