A little unlucky today with the markets speaking favorably but a case of not close enough! Diane Choice ran first and after breaking slowly was always playing catch up. Despite staying on late he could only get within 2 lengths of the winner and missed out on the place money to in a close finish! Piper Royal looked far to short this morning and drifted right up until the off. After racing up with the pace he was under pressure early before being pulled up two from home! The day ended frustratingly with Stormin Exit who despite not putting in the best display of jumping was still there at the final fence. Had the jockey not decided to go round the outside before the last and held onto the rail i'm certain he would have finished better than the 1/2 length second! The Basher
