A mixed day with all 3 selections finishing second! The lay selection drifted dramatically before the off out to a very big 5/1 yet ran well in defeat despite her time off and tackling the all weather surface for the first time. Bint Doyen was only beaten by a horse i've followed previously in Exceedthewildman who came home late on the outside to win by a 1/2 length! The eachway selection looked a big price this morning and was sent to the front again traveling well in the main and when jumping the last in front traded as low as 1.42 before being headed in the final few strides! The day finished disappointingly as Magic Omen was headed off the bend before rallying late but could only close within 3/4 of a length of the winner! The Basher
