2 out of 3 today and an excellent profit made! Had the Bet of the Day not bumped into a classy debutant it would have been the perfect 3! The day started well with the lay of the favourite Mrs Boss who after traveling just off the pace didn't have the turn of foot of the winner and missed out on the place on a head bob! Carriteau ran next and under a strong front running ride put in a gutsy performance to stay on up the run in and claim a well deserved victory by 13/4 lengths! The Bet of the Day was well backed before the off and the race quickly became a two horse affair with the selection and the eventual winner pulling well clear. Although Vannin traded as low as 1.64 in running he always looked held by a hugely impressive winner in what looked a competitive bumper! Bring on the Weekend! The Basher
