A very poor day! Thunderstruck was well supported into clear favourite and under a front running wide looked the winner 2 furlongs out trading 2/1 on in running but was closed down late and had to settle for third! In the 2.35 i was hoping for a big run from the second favourite and taking on Cottage Star but under a well timed ride from nina carberry got up to lead in the final furlong! The each way selection under top weight ran a good race and had every chance a furlong out after being held up and forced to race wide. The selection traded as low as 5/4 in running but weakened quickly in a close finish and missed out on the places! Bring on next week! The Basher
