Not the best of days! The Lay selection was a very generous early price and in a competitivly small field struggled to mount any sort of a challenge! One of the Boys traveled and jumped well and had every chance when turning for home but under top weight struggled to quicken after the last and was pipped for second in the final yards! The each way selection was extremely well backed into joint second favourite but a puzzling ride left the horse far to much ground to make up even after a clear passage emerged up the inside rail!
